Head of Communications

We are looking for an experienced science communicator to join our team as Head of Communications.

In this position you will develop and implement our communications strategy, overseeing and expanding the reach of our media, social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn) and outreach activities. You will work to support both internal staff communications and our broader external relations programme.

To succeed in this role, you should have several years of experience in a communications or media relations role, and a strong interest in the Earth and environmental sciences. You will need to be confident in establishing relationships with staff, journalists, institutional press teams, and the research community more broadly. You will also need strong writing and speaking skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
